Longford Updates

Dear Residents & Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with: 

PATROLS 

Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, and our local green spaces. 

WARRANTS

The team conducted a warrant this week following information regarding a stolen vehicle which was stolen and activating ANPR cameras on the Longford ward. The team successfully managed to retrieve the vehicle from an address in Foleshill. 

VEHICLE SEIZURES

PCSO's recovered a stolen vehicle which was abandoned on Carey Street this week. The vehicle was stolen in a burglary in the Lower Stoke area on 21/05/2026. The vehicle had been found on falsified plates and has since been recovered and owners informed. 

VEHICLE CRIME & BURGLARY

We have had one report of burglary this week and no reports of theft of motor vehicle.

The burglary took place between 18:00 and 22:30 on 27/05/2026 on Pembury Avenue whereby a rear downstairs window was opened and entry gained. The offenders have managed to obtain over £1000 in cash from the property before making good their escape. STREETWATCH

We have now set up a Streetwatch in the Little Heath area of Longford. We are doing our preliminary introduction walk on 11/06/2026.  

We are always looking for more volunteers to get involved within the Longford and Bell Green areas.
